Loving Bebita is Dog Crazy for Yosemite
When my people said we were going to Yosemite, I went Dog Crazy! I have a very important job when we go on road trips. I am guarder of the pack. I am always scanning our surroundings and alerting my people to anything that seems of interest.
*it wasn’t until after the trip that we read that dogs are supposed to stay off the trails. While the park is pet friendly, the scents of the animals can attract wildlife to look for prey. That being said any future NPS visits, Bebita will not be going as close to some things as she did this day.*
My people said the roads to the park were closed for a long time and then there were detours. I knew it had to be something special because the lady in our pack kept checking the park service website for updates. Then it happened. Not only did the detours end, Glacier Point was opened the same week.
When we got to the park, my people bought an all parks annual pass. That means we can come back anytime we want and we can explore new places as well.
In this picture, El Capitan is behind me. I am told someone recently climbed it without ropes or cables. I think they might be part mountain goat.
This little creek was by the side of the road. It was really fun to get out and stretch my legs a bit.
We stopped at a pull out to get this picture with one of the waterfalls. Because there was so much rain and snow this year, there are hundreds of waterfalls that are normally not present. This made my people really happy.
We drove up to Glacier Point for sunset, my people think this is the best spot to be. Unless it is February and the Firefalls are happening off of Horsetail Falls.
Needless to say, after such an exciting day, I was pretty tired and slept the whole drive home.
